18 Patients On Trolleys In Midlands Hospitals

Mullingar is the busiest in the region with 9 patients waiting for a bed.

18 patients are waiting for beds in hospitals in the midlands this morning.

Mullingar Regional Hospital is the busiest in the region with nine patients on trolleys, while Tullamore has six, and there are three in Portlaoise.

149 people are waiting for a bed in hospitals around the country.

The Irish Nurses' and Midwives' Organisation say 121 patients are waiting in the Emergency Department, while 28 are in wards elsewhere in the hospital.
