231 Children in the Midlands are waiting over two years for an assessment with an early intervention team.
In total 732 are on the list - which documents children under six identified as potentially having complex developmental needs.
To address the issue Fianna Fail want to expand the early intervention team -- recruiting 800 staff including 300 therapists at a cost of €40.9m.
