Meath West TD Damien English says the occupants will be encouraged to engage with homeless services.

Rough sleepers who avail of the governments additional beds this winter, will be encouraged to engage with homeless services.

300 extra beds are being provided this season, with 150 already in place.

Under the 'Be Winter Ready' plan some homeless services will be extending their operating hours to a 24 hour basis.

Junior Housing Minister and Meath West TD Damien English says they will try to help individuals find a more permanent solution.
