Nearly 4,200 people have been waiting at least a year for an appointment with a heart specialist.
Just under 4,000 patients are on the outpatient list, with the remainder waiting for an inpatient or day case procedure.
In total, more than 30,000 people are waiting to see a cardiologist at hospitals across the country.
More than 1,300 people have been waiting at least 18 months for an appointment with a heart specialist.
Almost all of the patients are on the outpatient list, with just 60 waiting for an inpatient procedure.
