A Westmeath construction company has failed in its latest attempt to deliver a multi-million euro apartment development for one the Midlands's fastest growing towns.
After being initially refused planning permission by the local authority for 38 new homes on the Dublin Road in Mullingar, Andrews Construction appealed to An Coimisiún Pleanála.
The plans were denied by the council due to the scale and height of the project, along with traffic hazard fears and an apparent absence of a connection to a public water supply.
The State’s independent planning authority is now rejecting the construction firm's appeal.
