The new data comes from the Irish Heart Attack Audit.
45 per cent of people who suffer a heart attack don't call for medical help within the hour.
That's according to the Irish Heart Attack Audit from the National Office of Clinical Audits, who analysed data from over 3 thousand patients in a primary PCI centre in 2022 and 2023.
Last year, only 4 per cent of people achieved the 30 minute 'door in - door out' target.
