Mullingar Chamber says the expansion is an endorsement of business for the town.
The addition of 50 new jobs in Westmeath is the best announcement in a long time.
That's according to Mullingar Chamber President John Geoghegan, who believes the expansion of Writech is an endorsement of business for the town.
Half of the jobs have been allocated to research and development, while the other 25 jobs will be housed in the manufacturing department of the fire suppression company.
Mr. Geoghegan says the expansion is proof small companies can thrive in the area:
