500 Fewer Beds Available To TUS Students Since Arrival Of Ukrainians

The university's chaplain says students are scrambling to find accommodation for the year ahead.

The continuing flow of Ukrainian refugees in to the midlands is leading to students losing out on accommodation, according to the Chaplain of the Technological University of the Shannon.

The Leaving Cert results are out today with CAO offers incoming for next week.

Father Shay Casey believes the number of beds available to students in Athlone this year has fallen by 500.

He says the way Ukrainian refugees are being housed is leading to students being turned away:
