Laois had 271 new dwellings on the list.
Over 600 homes were added to the midland's residential building stock in the last 12 months.
According to the latest report from GeoView, the average cost of house in the region is 184 thousand euro.
Laois saw the highest increase in housing stock - 271 homes were added to the GeoDirectory database in the year to June, with a further 316 under construction.
193 new dwellings were listed in Offaly, with another 95 under construction.
While 157 were added in Westmeath, and 249 are being built.
However, residential construction was particularly weak in the midlands in comparison to the rest of the country - Offaly accounted for just 0.7 per cent of the national total, Westmeath was 1.8, and Laois was 2.3 per cent.
The national average vacancy rate is 4.5 per cent - Offaly is level with that, while Westmeath is above at 4.9, and Laois below at 3.8.
