Over 180 schools from around the country have been chosen.
9 schools from across the Midlands have been selected for an initiative to enhance children's creative and artistic skills.
The Arts Council have chosen 184 new schools who applied to the Creative Schools Initiative.
Five of those are in Offaly, four are in Westmeath, while Laois will see two schools added to the programme.
Each school is set to receive a grant and work with a professional Creative Associate to develop a Creative School Plan.
The new set includes 51 DEIS schools and 23 Irish language schools.
