Inland Fisheries Ireland is announcing the grants.
Almost €75,000 is going to the Midlands to improve river and lake habitats.
€24,000 is being granted towards brown trout stock in Westmeath Lakes and €55,000 is going towards the Cushina River habitat restoration project.
Inland Fisheries Ireland is announcing the grants for a Westmeath River Restoration Project and the fish habitat and spawning areas in the Cushina river, which is a tributary of the River Barrow.
The initiative, delivered in partnership with the Lough Ennell Trout Preservation Association, will focus on a 1 kilometre stretch of the Hanstown stream.
Works will include creating fish habitat pools, placing spawning gravels, and installing riverside fencing to protect key spawning and nursery areas from livestock.
