The event will also honour those who lost their lives in 9/11.
New York Firefighters have arrived in Ireland to take part in a cycle with Irish Fire Brigades to raise money for charity.
They will set off from Dublin's Phoenix Park this morning and finish at Kinsale Memorial Gardens in Cork this Wednesday on the 23rd anniversary of 9/11.
The peleton of firemen and women will have to tackle around 120km a day.
The group says the aim of the cycle is to put the fire out on Children’s Cancer and to honour those that were lost in 9/11.
Clara's Phil Keegan is a Station Officer with Offaly Fire and Rescue Service - he says firefighters at home respect and understand the sacrifice made by those in New York 23 years ago.
