An Offaly family are asking the public for help so they can host their mother's funeral at home.
Olive Nugent, from Rath in Birr, is leading the appeal as her mother, Carmel Nugent, is expected to have days left to live at the most, after a long struggle with dementia.
The boiler in the stove in the family home burst yesterday, causing the house to flood.
The family say the want to have their mother's funeral at home.
