The trial continues in Dublin this morning.
The prosecution will continue its case against Josef Puzka in the Ashling Murphy murder trial this morning.
It's after the jury yesterday heard claims that Mr Puzka, of Lynally Grove, Mucklagh, Co Offaly, told Gardai 'I am the murderer'.
The 33-year-old Slovakian has pleaded not guilty to the schoolteacher's murder.
Jozef Puska is said to have made the remarks to Detective Sgt Brian Jennings through a translator at St James Hospital on the 14th of January 2022.
Detective Sgt Jennings told the jury that Mr Puska was immediately cautioned and offered a solicitor.
Mr Puska was being treated in St James Hospital after he claimed he was stabbed in Blanchardstown on the day Ashling Murphy died.
The trial continues later this morning.
