They will honour the good done by young people.
The winners of this year's Laois Offaly Garda Youth Awards will be announced tonight.
The annual event is designed to recognise and celebrate the good work of young people - aged between 13 and 21 - in the community.
The four categories include a Special Achievement award for a person who has defied the odds to overcome a difficult situation and a Community Safety award recognising a crime prevention initiative that has contributed to making a community a safer place to live and work in.
The event will take place in the Killeshin Hotel Portlaoise.
