The Hospice Commitee is meeting with the HSE again in the coming weeks.
Representatives from South Westmeath Hospice believe progress is being made in securing the future of the service.
They'll meet the HSE again in the coming weeks to find a solution to the ongoing issue surrounding the transfer of hospice facilities to a new 50 bed community nursing unit in Clonbrusk, Athlone.
The dispute between the two parties over its future has been ongoing for more than a year.
