"Beyond Belief" Government Isn't Working Faster On Microgeneration Scheme

The scheme will see people who generate renewable energy get paid for exporting any excess to the grid.

"It's beyond belief" the government isn't working faster to finalise the Micro-Generation Support Scheme, according to a midlands TD.

Launched last December, the scheme will see homeowners, farmers and business-people who generate renewable energy get paid for exporting any excess into the national grid.

An official start date for the scheme has yet to be announced.
