Schools in Laois have discovered problems with their infrastructure.
Special needs classes are no use if there's no space in the schools for them.
Laois Independent TD Brian Stanley is reacting to a Labour Party motion calling on the Government to ensure every child has an appropriate school place in their area this September.
The Department of Education sanctioned nine new classes for schools in Laois in late February and early March.
However, Deputy Stanley says Castlecuff National School, The Rock School, and Killeshin National School have all told him there will be problems with their current infrastructure.
He says the new classes need to be supported by the State:
