The number of burglaries has dropped in recent years.
A garda operation has seen burglaries fall by 75% in a decade.
New statistics show just over 3,000 burglaries took place in the winter - which is a 19% drop on the same period 12 months ago.
However, it's fallen from over 12,000 in 2015, which was when Operation Thor launched.
