Calls For Greater Awareness After Pedestrian Injured By Cyclist

Councillors in Offaly have been hitting out at the use of bikes and scooters on footpaths.

Greater awareness is needed to keep bikes and scooters off footpaths, after a pedestrian was injured in Offaly.

She was struck outside the Bridge Centre in Tullamore last month.

Local councillor Sean O'Brien suggested an awareness campaign from Offaly County Council and gardaí at yesterday's municipal district meeting.
