A midlands TD has suggested six changes be made to the Planning and Development Bill 2023.
Planning appeals which have been with An Bord Pleanála for longer than a year must be dealt with within six weeks of the passing of a Bill which would see Ireland's Planning systems overhauled.
That's one of the amendments being requested by Laois Offaly Fianna Fáil TD Barry Cowen, as part of the Planning and Development Bill 2023.
The massive legislation will see An Bord Pleanála restructured and renamed An Coimisiún Pleanála, while people will be required to pay to submit a judicial review on a planning decision.
But, Deputy Cowen wants to see a number of other changes made to the bill before it's passed:
