Cancer Strategy Underfunded As Midlands Hospitals Face Rising Demand

Equipment needs replacing urgently according to Sorca Clarke.

The National Cancer Strategy is not getting the funding it needs for specialised colonoscopy and radiation therapy. 

Sinn Fein TD for Longford-Westmeath Sorca Clarke is making the point as hospitals across the Midlands are dealing with an increase in patients.

She says equipment for radiation therapy is nearing their lifespan and needs replacing urgently.
