Car sales and electric vehicle registrations are on the rise so far this year across the Midlands.

678 cars have been sold so far in Laois, up from 657 last year - an increase of 3.2%.
While in Offaly, the figure is up by 29 units to 603, a 5% increase.
And in Westmeath, there was only a rise of 1.2% to 718.
It's the same story for electric car registrations in the Midlands, as they're also on the rise.
Offaly has recorded a massive leap of 94% as 70 cars have been registered so far in 2025, up from 36.
That's followed by Westmeath at just over 100 registrations, which has gone up by 46%.
Finally, the number of EV'S in Laois has gone up by 22% to 99.
