A new, covid-friendly Christmas Shoebox Appeal is underway online this year.
The annual Team Hope campaign sees schools, families, communities and businesses fill shoeboxes with gifts that are then sent to children living in poverty in Eastern Europe and Africa.
Team Hope Offaly volunteer, Stella Egan says it always sparks some Christmas joy among vulnerable children, so they were anxious to keep the campaign going this year.
