The figure in the region is 13% up on 2022.
Almost 130 hectares of land across the midlands saw afforestation in 2023, a 13% rise from the year previous.
However, Westmeath was the only county in the region to see an increase, going from 34 to 76 hectares.
In Offaly, the final figure for last year is 31 and in Laois 21 hectares were complete.
CSO figures show the national total of afforested land reached just over 1,650 for 2023, a fall of 27% from 2022.
