A properly equipped community centre is needed for an Offaly town.
That's according to Local Election Candidate for Birr, Ekaterina Koneva, who says more facilities are needed particularly for groups such as teenagers, the disabled and the elderly.
She says it's important to have a modern premises available, that non-profit clubs and groups can afford to use.
