The project is expected to be completed in the near future.
Concerns are being raised with the development of an Emergency Power Plant in Offaly.
The project will be based on the site of the old Shannonbridge Power Plant, and is expected to be completed in the near future.
It would be responsible for a reliable electricity supply during critical situations and emergencies.
During a public meeting last night, the Shannonbridge Action Group raised concerns with the air quality in the area and the wider health implications of the development.
