SIPTU says strike action remains on the table after the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission approved the sale of Bord Na Mona Recycling to a private company.
The CCPC offered a qualified approval for the sale of the waste company, which serves customers in Laois and Offaly.
The commission wants the KWD Recycling to offload customers in Leinster and Munster before progressing with the purchase of Bord Na Mona's waste management division.
The sale is still subject to Ministerial approval.
