Council Tasked With Removing "Unsightly Eyesore" In Midlands Town

It's claimed it's affected the experience for both locals and visitors.

Westmeath County Council is being tasked with removing an 'unsightly eyesore' in a major town. 

Councillor Aengus O'Rourke thinks a number of decaying JCBs in the Cornamaddy area of Athlone are affecting both locals' and visitors' experiences. 

He wants them removed before the summer. 

The Fianna Fáil rep says there's no excuse for the abandoned machinery to be left sitting there:
