Councillors are seeking to discuss a lack of a Garda presence in Westmeath.

Fine Gael Councillor John Dolan is defending Helen McEntee's decision to refuse to meet Athlone reps, due to a busy schedule.
He claims it's no good for Gardaí to just drive through the town in a car, and believes they should be walking the streets.
Councillor Dolan says he raised the issue with the Minister but it falls to the Garda Commissioner to resolve it:
