Irish Rail Appeals For Public Help After Midlands Train Vandalism

Irish Rail say a graffiti attack took place on Friday morning in Athlone.

Irish Rail is appealing to the public to not engage with criminal vandalism after an incident on a train in the Midlands.

Irish Rail say in the early hours of Friday morning, a graffiti attack on a train was carried stabled at Athlone Train Station on 6 windows.

The train worked one service that morning and now has been taken out of service, to be cleaned.

Gardaí in Athlone are investigating the incident, with Irish Rail assisting with their inquiries and have provided CCTV.
