The number of covid patients in midlands hospitals is at its lowest level since 1st January.
14 people are being treated for the virus today, down from 22 yesterday.
Four of those patients are in ICU, with the intensive care unit at Mullingar Hospital remaining covid-free.
Overall in Ireland, 48 covid patients were in critical care last night - the first time the number has fallen below 50 in 2021.
