The Defence Minister will be questioned by an Oireachtas Committee today about a barbeque at an Army barracks during Covid lockdown restrictions.
It's claimed alcohol was consumed at the outdoor gathering at McKee Barracks in Dublin, which was attended by around 40 military personnel.
An allegation of sexual assault at the event made by a female Defence Forces member is now the subject of an investigation by military police.
Minister Simon Coveney has ordered an external review of the barbeque in June of 2020 when outdoor gatherings were limited to just 15 people.
