Two dogs found abandoned on a Laois bog are improving slowly but surely.
The two females, now named Tara and Megan, were found by the LSPCA in an emaciated and badly matted condition, but are now putting on weight and are becoming more trusting.
However, due to a hernia one dog will need surgery, which the charity hopes can be done by next week.
