A drug driver has been arrested in Westmeath.
The motorist was stopped by Gardaí yesterday for travelling in a vehicle with illegal modifications, where it was discovered they were an unaccompanied learner driver.
The driver then failed a roadside drug test for both cannabis and cocaine.
Their vehicle has been seized and they are due to appear before the courts at a later date.

Turned out the driver was unaccompanied on a learner permit and then tested positive for both cocaine and cannabis.
