The day-of-action came as part of Operation Thor.
14 people have been arrested as part of a large-scale garda operation in Offaly.
The 'day of action' involved searches, patrols and checkpoints to crack down on criminal activity in the county.-
Yesterday's arrests were the result of a co-ordinated operation between gardaí in Tullamore, Clara and Edenderry.
It formed part of the wider Operation Thor initiative to tackle crime over the winter months.
Six homes were searched under warrant in Clara and Edenderry targeting the sale and supply of illegal drugs.
It resulted in the seizure of drugs worth over 12,000 euro and the arrest of three people.
A further five arrests were made in Tullamore in connection with a violent disorder in July - they have now been charged before the courts.
While another two people were taken into custody for theft and drug related incidents.
In addition, four bench warrants were executed before Tullamore District Court.
Throughout the day, crime and burglary patrols - both covert and high-visibility - were carried out along with a series of checkpoints, resulting in a number of road traffic and crime-related detections.
Gardaí say it's just the beginning of their Operation Thor activities in Offaly.
