24.5 million euro in funding has been secured for the Portlaoise school to relocate to a new site on the Timahoe Road.
The school - operated by the Laois Offaly Education and Training Board - and its 320 students have been based in temporary accommodation on Railway Street since opening in 2017.
LOETB chief executive Joe Cunningham says they're trying to meet the growing to demand for school places in the area, with the new building set to cater for 1,000 students:
