The remembrance tree project provides a heartfelt way of remembering loved ones
Tullamore and District Rotary Club presented Friends of Midland Regional Hospital Tullamore with a cheque for €1,000 being the proceeds of their Remembrance Tree project.
The presentation took place in the Healing Garden at the Midlands Regional Hospital Tullamore and was attended by members of Tullamore & District Rotary Club and Friends of Midlands Regional Hospital Tullamore Committee.
The aim of the remembrance tree project is to capture the essence of Christmas spirit but it also provides a way of remembering loved ones throughout the Christmas period, while supporting local charities.
This year, Tullamore & District Rotary Club chose Friends of Midland Regional Hospital Tullamore as the preferred charity for the work the committee do in providing much needed additional services at Midlands Regional Hospital Tullamore.
Friends of the Midlands Regional Hospital Tullamore is run by a small committee who are dedicated to improving the hospital's services.
Over the years, the charity has brought additional services to the hospital such as a finometer and tilt table, a healing garden and an end of life room to name just a few.
