Over €13,700 is being allocated to festivals across the Midlands through a Government scheme.
The scheme is designed to assist local cultural events which may not be eligible under funding criteria for larger scale events such as those supported by Fáilte Ireland and similar bodies.
Grants of €5,000 is being allocated to two groups in Offaly and Laois - Clara Heritage Society and the Rosenallis Development Assosciation.
While €3,750 goes to Laois art residency The Art Of Collaboration.
