Locals from areas along the River Shannon are calling for action to prevent flooding.
Met Eireann say up to 25 millimetres of rain is expected to fall as it's issued a status yellow rainfall warning for 20 counties from 8 o'clock tonight.
Shannon Harbour & Lusmagh in Co. Offaly are already experiencing some floods from previous rainfall.
