Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to a serious crash in Laois earlier to come forward.
The incident, involved a van and a HGV, occurred on the N77 on the Abbeyleix side of Portlaoise this morning.
One person was airlifted to hospital, while the lorry driver has been charged to appear before Portlaoise District Court.
Anyone who witnessed the collision or has dashcam footage is asked to contact Portlaoise Garda Station.
