It took place on the N77 around 4 o'clock.
A road has reopened following a collision between a car and a lorry in Laois.
Emergency services attended the scene, on the N77 between Portlaoise and Abbeyleix shortly after 4 o'clock this afternoon.
A man was taken to hospital in the aftermath with non-life threatening injuries.
Diversions were in place for almost two hours but the flow of traffic has since resumed.
Gardai are appealing for witnesses and asking anyone with dashcam footage to contact them.
