Simeon Burke was arrested at the four courts earlier this month.
Enoch Burke’s brother has pleaded not guilty to charges relating to a breach of peace.
Simeon Burke was arrested at the four courts earlier this month, for engaging in threatening, insulting and abusive words and behaviour at the Court of Appeal.
On the 7th of March Simeon Burke was at the Four Courts, supporting his brother Enoch, in his unsuccessful appeal against a High Court order.
Following chaotic scenes outside the courthouse, the 24 year old was arrested and taken to Brideswell Garda Station where he was charged with a breach of the peace, under the Public Order Act.
Having refused to accept a bail condition to stay away from the Four Courts, Mr Burke has spent the past three weeks in prison.
Appearing before Cloverhill District Court today, Simeon Burke pleaded not guilty to the charges and claimed gardai had fabricated evidence against him.
He claimed the power of arrest was not explained to him, telling Judge Caphas Power “We are not in North Korea, where you can be thrown in a cell and not told what you have done”.
Simeon Burke will appear before Dublin District Court tomorrow, where he will be given a hearing date.
