As many as 200 people fleeing the war in Ukraine will be housed in 62 units in Clonminch in Tullamore, while 42 homes are being erected in Rathdowney.
They form part of the State's plan to construct 700 rapid build homes for beneficiaries of temporary protection - 310 of those will be delivered this year, accommodation nearly 3,000 family members.
