It's expected as many as 950 people will be accommodated at the site.
It's expected up to 100 Ukrainian refugees will be accommodated on a midlands site by the end of the week.
The Department of Integration struck a deal with Stradbally Hall earlier this year, which would allow up to 950 people fleeing the war to be temporarily accommodated.
They'll be staying in winter-ready cabins, for a period of 32 weeks.
The site is seperate from the area where up to 750 refugees were staying in tented accommodation before that contract expired in October.
The Department says a family group that includes a child under the age of two or anyone in a wheelchair will not be sent to this location.
