Five Midlands Artists To Get Arts Council Bursaries

It's part of the first round of the Arts Council's Bursary Award scheme.

Artists across the Midlands have been successful in the first round of the Arts Council's Bursary Award scheme.

The award paid on behalf of the state gives practioners the time and resources necessary to reflect and engage with their chosen practice.

Four artists across Laois have been successful in their applications through the local authority.

 Dagogo Dagogo-hart will get €20,000 to study theatre, Bernadette Keating and Patrick Critchley get €20,000 each for visual arts and David Vesey will get €5,000 for his visual arts work.

While Darragh McKeon gets the maximum grant of 20,000 euro under English literature after applying through Offaly County Council
