Ireland joining an EU military procurement scheme will "enhance" our neutrality rather than undermine it.
That's according to a former midlands Army Ranger.
It comes as Tánaiste and Defence Minister Simon Harris is expected to announce the State is signing up to a 150 billion euro plan to allow the government secure military equipment.
The 'Security Action for Europe' or 'SAFE' initiative will also provide access to long-term low interest loans.
