Former Midlands TD Believes Ireland Heading For November Election

That's only if a Brexit deal can be agreed.

A Former Fine Gael TD in Longford/Westmeath believes Ireland is heading for a November general election. 

Retired Deputy Paul McGrath says Leo Varadkar and Simon Coveney have brought stability in the face of uncertainty from the EU and the UK in the last two years. 

Its expected opposition parties will ramp up pressure on the Taoiseach to call a snap election if a Brexit deal emerges this week.

Mr.McGrath says a winter campaign is one that is fought in the media - which he believes is a positive for the government:
