Former Sinn Féin TD Brian Stanley says he has spoken to Gardaí about matters referred to them by the party.
He announced yesterday he will run as an independent candidate in the upcoming election, after resigning from Sinn Féin last month following a dispute over an internal inquiry.
It related to a complaint made by a woman over a meeting with Deputy Stanley in Dublin on the night of October 11th 2023.
