Mark Lawless was looking for compensation from racing trainer Adrian Keatley.
An Offaly man has seen his damages claim for a work related injury thrown out of the High Court.
Former stablehand, Mark Lawless brought proceedings against racehorse trainer Adrian Keately after an incident at Rossmore Cottage Stables in The Curragh, Co Kildare on March 9, 2016.
The Edenderry man, who now works as an auctioneer, allegedly sustained an injury to his back when he emptied soiled hay from a wheelbarrow, according to the Irish Independent.
In rejecting the compensation claim, Judge Michael Twomey said Mr Keatley could not be held liable for an incident he's described as an "everyday misfortunate mishap".
